第１回医療通訳実践トレーニングに出てきました（１）— 頭痛

一般社団法人日本医療通訳協会主催の「医療通訳実践トレーニング」の第１回に出てきました。いろいろとまなぶべきことはありましたが、まずは今回の課題（headache）で取りあげられた病名・症状を２回にわたってあげておきます。ここでいうLay Termsとは専門用語を一般的なことばでおきかえたものです。layman’s termsとか、Terms in lay languageといわれることもあります。専門家である医師と一般人である患者をつなぐうえでは、こういったことなる言葉づかい（registerといわれます）をこなせることが重要です。

なお、病名をおぼえるうえでは、単に英語と日本語で記憶するだけでなく、それぞれの病気の内容を理解することが重要です。今回の授業では、病気をそれぞれ（１）etiology 病因（２）signs and symptoms 徴候と症状（３）diagnostic procedures 診断手法（４）treatment 治療の各項目で整理しておぼえることの重要性も指摘されました。

まずは、手はじめにざっとふれられたことばだけあげていきます。これが完成形とかいうつもりはまったくなくて、自分のなかでもこれであっているのかな、と疑問におもいながら、今後の課題にしているものもあります。
